Australian election 2010 forecasted for 11 September.

On Tuesdays we have a “get-together” with the elders in the flock and this time it was Uncle Harold’s turn to talk to us. ( He got his name from an ancestor who went with the Vikings from Scandinavia to England and, according to Uncle Harold a later ancestor came out with the First Fleet in 1788 and again, according to uncle Harold and his Sheep Dreaming tales, this ancestor named Rurik's ancestors were a flock of tough merinos having spent over 50 years in South Africa. He was taken onboard at the Cape of Good Hope together with the rest of the flock and sailed to Sydney. At disembarkation in Sydney he managed to get loose and ran away, after many adventures he ended up in the Cunnamulla district.

Now, where was I? .

Uncle Harold has the gift of a seer and when he said, completely out of the blue that “ the Australian election will be held on 11 September:” we were gobsmacked. “How do you know, we all baa’d”.

“Easy” he said, “ this one is easy" . "I just passed the septic tank and there were 11 rams standing there asking for direction so, I read the signs; Sep(tic) ( short for September) and the 11 rams asking for direction. Direction what ? Direction how to vote of course! A sure thing, 11th September. I don’t want to tell you how to vote but it would be nice to support Baaar-naby, he’s a decent sort of bloke and need us now. I think he’s wearing the Bah-B-Q t shirt actually." Have you noticed?
